Who we are
APX Learning Institute (“APX”, “we”, “us”) is operated by [Legal business name, e.g. APX Learning Institute LLC], [mailing address]. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our tutoring services, and how we use it. Questions: [contact email].
What we collect
Information you give us. When you book a call: whether you are a parent or student, the student’s grade, a recent and target SAT score, your name, and a phone number or email address. During tutoring: session notes, practice-test results and homework completion.
Payment information. Payments are handled by our payment processor [e.g. Stripe or Square]. We do not store full card numbers.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider and the services that deliver fonts and scripts (Google Fonts, unpkg) receive your IP address and browser details when pages load. We do not use advertising cookies or sell browsing data. [Update this if you add analytics, ad pixels or a scheduling tool.]
How we use it
- To respond to booking requests and schedule sessions.
- To plan and deliver tutoring, track progress and report it to the student and parent or guardian.
- To process payments and keep business records.
- To send service messages (reminders, homework, schedule changes).
- To meet legal obligations and protect our rights.
Texts and calls
If you give us a phone number and agree on the booking form, we may call or text you about your booking and sessions. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
Students under 18
Our services are for high-school students. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian should make the booking and agree to our Terms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe we have, contact [contact email] and we will delete it.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run APX (for example payment, scheduling, email and hosting), with tutors working with the student, when required by law, or to protect safety and rights.
Keeping and protecting data
We keep booking and tutoring records while the student works with us and then for [e.g. 2 years] for records and tax purposes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner where the law allows. We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop non-essential messages, by emailing [contact email]. Depending on where you live (for example California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including to know what we collect and not to be discriminated against for using your rights. We will respond within the time the law requires.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will be highlighted on this page.
